President of the jury
Belgian plastic artist born in 1938 in Brussels. Graphic designer, poster artist, printmaker, book author-illustrator of children’s books. His universe, marked by poetry and humor, has brought forth a large production in commercial and cultural communication, and in the publishing of screen prints and linocuts.
His art, characterized by clearness, clarity, imagination and candor, earned him several personal exhibitions in Belgium as well as in major foreign capitals, and numerous tributes in the international press. Josse Goffin taught from 1977 to 2004 narration and humorous drawing in the workshop graphic communication at the National School of Visual Arts, La Cambre, in Brussels; the school where he graduated from.
He is regularly invited as a jury member in art high schools and chairs, within the French community of Belgium, the Exchange Commission for authors-illustrators of children's books.
